Our service will be free for consumers and car dealers alike.

What are the benefits for the car trade?

We will promote Trusted Dealers extensively on our own social media channels, in press releases and later on paid media.

Dealers will be allowed to use the Reliable Dealer logo in all their advertising.

Later on, we will offer a range of in-store advertising to let customers know that they are a Trusted Dealer (banners, window stickers, brochures, etc.). We charge a printing fee for the material.

The Reliable Car Dealer label brings more customers to the dealership, faster turnover and better prices for cars.

Eventually, secudeals.com will be a completely new sales channel available only to your Trusted Car Dealers, allowing consumers to buy cars online. The advanced automation of the sales process, and the purchase decision based on the customer report, will reduce the workload of car dealers and make their processes more efficient.

A better car dealership approach

  • The dealer must indicate the thickness of the paint (repainted areas)
  • The dealer must allow car inspections before the sale
  • Car inspection must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of sale
  • The car dealer must share any known history of the car
  • For cars imported from Central Europe, a CarVertical report (or equivalent) must be shared
  • The car must have been serviced in accordance with the maintenance schedule
  • The buyer must be informed of the next scheduled service date for the car
  • The sales note must match the car, e.g. in terms of mileage, model year and equipment
  • The car dealer must clearly state on its website the instructions for dealing with complaints
  • Complaints must be responded to within a reasonable time
  • In the case of distance selling, the buyer is given the cancellation conditions and a return form in advance (14 days return period)
  • The trader respects and implements the requirements of the Consumer Disputes Board
  • The shop must not be blacklisted by the consumer authorities
  • The shop has a proven criminal insurance policy (e.g. to cover loss caused by the seizure of a stolen car)
  • The trader openly discloses any known defects and shortcomings

4. How do you ensure that traders follow the rules?

There is a form on our website where consumers can report a dealer who is listed as a Trusted Car Dealer, but who has a proven record of failure to comply with the rules. Any serious reports will be dealt with by an impartial committee of three car dealers who will decide on any further action to be taken. Only a note may be issued for the information of the dealership and the consumer, or the dealership may decide to be removed from the Trusted Car Dealer List.

Secu reserves the right to decide which companies are on its list and which are not. Secu does not have to tell the dealership the reasons for not being included on the Trusted Car Dealer List.

How can the service be free?

We direct traffic from the site to CarVertical, InspectWise and other trade safety services in the industry. We collect affiliate commissions from these providers.

In the future, we would like to offer a car inspection app for car dealers. Through the app, Secu will collect valuable information about the condition of cars. Later, this data can be sold.

The idea is also to develop a new marketplace where cars from Trusted Car Dealers can be sold online with home delivery, Tech Guarantee and a 14-day return policy.

Secu is a website that provides guidance for private used car buyers on how to make a safe deal. Our website provides free advice on buying a car. The car inspection checklist (pdf form) opens when the customer fills in their email address and name on the form. Our aim is to make our site a comprehensive database of information on used car sales. In the future, our site will also list trusted car dealers in Finland. The service will also be free of charge for car dealers.
